Apparently moving house is in the top 5 most stressful events in a persons life, add moving 130 miles northbound up the M1 to the mix and this past month could’ve been quite an upheaval for me.

Fortunately, with a little experience under my belt, I managed to secure a position within SF Group  which offers a professional services recruitment solution. Looking on their website at the breadth and scope of the business alongside my interview with Dominic Syalon, the Director of the Nottingham Division, I knew I wanted to be a part of this super fun but hard working company who really put their staff first.

One of the Sunday times top 100 businesses to work for? I’d have to agree right there. With any nerves alleviated by the team immediately on day 1, I felt very welcome very quickly. Being allocated a Part-Qualified desk with clear boundaries and indications of what is expected of me, it was obvious that a lot of thought had been put into my arrival.

I had onsite and offsite training from a qualified and highly skilled lady, Jenny Stenning, and now have in place a clear and achievable career path with this business. I know what I need to do to become a success but the training doesn’t stop now, I have my own mentor and weekly and monthly reviews so we can ensure I am adopting the company ethos and offering our clients and candidates the exceptional service they expect from SF Group.

1 month in and I am happy, feel very supported, I’m part of a fantastic team and I’m also  looking forward to an overseas trip thanks to the previous hard work of  the people who make this business so great.
